Located near Banke National Park, Manish Ghimire, aged 30, is a forester working with multiple INGOs on tiger conservation and human-animal conflict management. His host environment reflects the Tharu culture and ethnic community nearby, offering WWOOFers a chance to engage in both conservation and cultural exchange. Activities include homestays, jungle safaris, and exploration of Western Nepal, serving as a gateway to regions like Dolpa, Shey Phoksundo Lake, and Humla. Volunteers can learn about forestry, conservation, and traditional Tharu culture during their stay.

Manish was a terrific host. He always made sure I was happy, fed, and getting the most of my experience. He took lots of time out of his day and job to spend with me, teaching me the ways of the local culture and about what he does for tiger conservation. It was a fascinating and intimate experience in tiger conservation / human-animal conflict management.
